Project Overview
A New Home for Heck Construction’s Commercial Division
2025 marked an exciting chapter for Heck Construction. As our team continued to grow, so did our need for additional space. In November, we relocated our Commercial division to a newly renovated office at 1029 Dillerville Road in Lancaster, while our Residential division remained at our original location at 143 Main Street in Denver.
The renovation began with addressing challenges left behind by the building’s previous use as a hydraulics facility. Hydraulic fluid had penetrated the concrete slab over time, creating persistent odors that required significant portions of the floor to be removed or ground down before construction could proceed.
As construction progressed, another major issue surfaced. Once the existing ceiling insulation was removed, significant roof deterioration was uncovered, making a full roof replacement necessary.
Today, the completed 8,625-square-foot office reflects the collaborative, people-focused environment we envisioned for our team. The renovated space includes a welcoming reception area, 15 private offices, conference and meeting spaces, a lunchroom, and an open common work area designed to support both focused work and team collaboration.
To maximize natural light throughout the building, aluminum storefront systems were incorporated into both the exterior and interior spaces. Glass-forward design elements allow daylight to flow throughout the office, creating a bright and connected atmosphere in every workspace.
Distinctive floating “cloud” ceilings were added in the reception area and conference room to create visual interest and enhance the overall architectural design. Acoustical wood slat wall features were also integrated throughout the office, providing both warmth and sound absorption to improve the working environment.
At the center of the office, waterfall-edge collaboration tables provide flexible workspace for mobile staff and encourage spontaneous teamwork and connection across departments.
This project reflects more than a new office location — it represents the continued growth of Heck Construction and the investment we are making in our team, our culture, and the future of our company.
We’re grateful for the partnership of Beers + Hoffman Architecture, whose collaboration played an important role in bringing this vision to life.
